Privacy Policy
Personal and sensitive information obtained by NSW Lotteries Corporation, or modification of personal and sensitive information already held, is subject to the Privacy Act, incorporating the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) 2000, (the Act) and the National Principles for the Fair Handling of Personal Information (NPP¡¦s). Such information will be treated in accordance with the rights and obligations specified in the legislation and the NPP¡¦s.
Personal information is essentially collected through the Player¡¦s Club, Instant Scratchie Second Chance Draws and Prize Claims for the primary purpose of administering our gaming activities and ensuring that players who win prizes obtain their winnings. The current Player Registration application form includes an opt-out box whereby a player¡¦s personal information is not for publication or disclosure. If this box is marked accordingly, a player¡¦s details will not be published or disclosed.
NSWLC uses information that has been collected to provide the highest possible level of Lottery service to the customer. Actions may include notifying players of special offers, new products and other opportunities to enjoy and participate in NSWLC products and services. NSWLC will allow players and users of its services to interact with it anonymously wherever it is reasonable and practicable to do so.
To ensure compliance with the privacy legislation the Corporation has initiated a Privacy Policy, which sets out the approach we have adopted in the collection and management of personal information. In addition it demonstrates and confirms our commitment to your privacy and to the privacy of all our players.
This special mailout provides you with information on our Privacy Policy, and includes a number of items that you are required to publicly display at point of sale.
50 new Players Club Brochures ¡V can be given to players upon request (please note that all new players receive a brochure with their new card). You will note that there is a Privacy Policy statement on the last page of the brochure.
- One copy of the Privacy Policy Brochure - this copy is for your information. This brochure will be mailed to players who request one.
One Privacy Policy Backer Card ¡V this backer card must be placed in your receptacle at point of sale or on one of your writing benches where you have your Player Registration Application Cards. A Players Card brochure should be placed immediately in front of the backer card and application forms placed in front of the brochure.
One copy (A4 sheet) of the Privacy Policy Information Sheet ¡V this statement is an abbreviated version of the Privacy Policy Brochure and will be mailed to players upon request.
